In the strange times we're living in just now it was good to see Bachasson bounce back to winning ways over fences with an impressive performance at Clonmel on Tuesday, scoring by 12 lengths.

It was his first start over fences since he fell at the second fence in the 2018 Cheltenham Gold Cup and injured himself quite badly. Back then, I took the view that we probably wouldn’t run him over fences again.

We brought him back over hurdles as he had shown himself very smart at the game in his novice season when he won four on the bounce.
