Aussie legend can't stop raving about Lambourn - but regrets missing Nicky

Ascot has provided rich pickings for Lambourn in recent weeks. Ed Walker had a double there on Saturday and there were a couple of winners at last month's royal meeting, when the village could also claim a slice of credit for another.

Along with his Chris Waller-trained stablemate Home Affairs, King's Stand monster Nature Strip was stationed in RG17 at the yard of Charlie Hills, who landed the Royal Hunt Cup with Dark Shift.

Settled back in Sydney, Waller – among the world's leading trainers – reflects warmly on his experience of West Berkshire.
