Amazing support from racing industry on another special day

The kindness and generosity of the racing community has consistently amazed me since I was injured last year and I had another special day this week thanks to some of my former weighing room colleagues.

Martin Harley and Jamie Spencer organised a fundraising lunch and auction last Sunday at the King's Head restaurant in Dullingham, just outside Newmarket, and a fantastic day was had by all.

After we all enjoyed a lovely meal and a drink or two, Derek Thompson did the honours as auctioneer as people bid to get their hands on some wonderful lots, including the use of a hospitality box for an Arsenal fixture at the Emirates Stadium and a nomination to Sixties Icon, kindly donated by Sheikh Fahad and Mick Channon respectively.
