Altior Ascot return would allow Henderson to avoid another Haydock horror show

Altior is a best-priced 9-1 with bet365 to win next week's Betfair Chase, although some might want a few zeros on the end of that quote that he even turns up at Haydock.
His first target – as everyone knows – is the same Saturday afternoon's Christy 1965 Chase at Ascot, in which he is set to put his Ladbrokes King George VI Chase credentials on the line in an early Christmas present clash with Cyrname, who is officially rated 1lb superior than Nicky Henderson's superstar.
