A maximum £100 stake in a month or the same amount lost? What’s it to be? Rumours are rife with the betting 5-6 each.

Whatever it is will lead to an ­unrealistic operation of ­administration within shops by betting operators. There can be no shortcuts to ­establishing which customers are betting or losing specified amounts over a given period.
