When Morecambe and Wise were in their pomp, attracting audiences of up to 28 million viewers on Christmas Day, one would invariably have heard Eric asking the question: "What do you think of it so far?"

The answer, also given by Eric, sometimes in the form of a statue, skull, bird or Lord Kitchener, would have been "rubbish".

Some, it seems, believe the catchphrase could easily apply to the current jumps season.
