A privilege to be in Lambourn at the same time as this wonderful village icon

I might have been slow to jump on the Altior bandwagon and I'm not really sure why. I think it's something to do with him being by High Chaparral, who produced a monster racehorse in So You Think and wasn't exactly a dud as a Flat sire.

What was he doing siring Altior around the same time as his other top-class Flat sons Toronado and Free Eagle?

I was probably giving it too much thought, being too clever, and maybe it was the same come the Supreme in 2016 when I napped stablemate Buveur D'Air, despite the whole of Lambourn thinking otherwise.
