I'm going all out to be champion jockey again - even with a mountain to climb

It is not mission impossible. I am riding again, winning again and I'm going to give everything I've got to becoming champion jockey for the fifth time.

This seems like a good time to begin my Racing Post column because over the next two months I'm hoping a seriously exciting story is going to unfold.

When I was sat in the ambulance at Exeter after breaking my arm the same expletive ran constantly through my head. I was sure the championship had gone – and maybe it has gone but there's still good reason for me not to throw in the towel. Brian Hughes is having a fantastic season but he is not quite out of reach.
