Like Roy Keane, we're not even angry anymore - it's just sadness now

There was a moment during Roy Keane’s withering analysis of Manchester United on Sky Sports on Tuesday night following his former team’s latest capitulation to Liverpool that encapsulated how disillusioned fans of the club have become.

“It was anger before, now I think it’s just sadness,” he pondered of his own reaction to the malaise that has set in. Keane spoke of the team lacking any heart or soul, once again hinting at his disdain for the Glazers’ regime and the decision-making at board level.

Since the fateful moment in 2005 when the Americans took control, the club has been leveraged with an enormous level of debt.
