The Breeders' Cup may not light everyone's fire on this side of the Atlantic but the next-level television coverage of the world championships certainly should – there's plenty we can learn from how our US counterparts showcase the biggest two days in American racing.

From the moment Golden Pal exploded out of the stalls in the opening event we were treated to the spectacular overhead Batcam, used for the first time at Keeneland this year.

The high-speed camera is mounted to a network of overhead wires and can move at more than 100mph, allowing the entire field to be in shot at the same time from a side-on angle and capturing just how fast the horses are travelling.
