Trainer

Roger Teal saddles stable star Tip Two Win in the Group 3 John of Gaunt Stakes (3.35) at Haydock and will be hoping last year's 2,000 Guineas runner-up can find top form again.

Teal, who will also run Whelans Way in the sprint handicap on the same card, has saddled the son of Dark Angel to Listed success in Britain and a Group 2 victory in Qatar. A repeat of his second behind Saxon Warrior at Newmarket last year should see him go close here.

The trainer has had just three winners this term but has a good chance of adding more Group success to his CV.

Jockey

Oisin Murphy's quest to win his first Stobart jockeys' title continues with seven rides at Chelmsford and few would bet against him riding several winners.

The Group 1-winning rider teams up with Sir Michael Stoute on three occasions, including in the mile handicap (3.40) on Al Shaqab's Qaroun, and seems booked for an equally busy Sunday at Goodwood.

Horse

Name The Wind ran out a cosy winner of his first two starts but found the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket a step too far when finishing last of 19 behind Magna Grecia.

The son of Toronado, a 62,000gns purchase from Tattersalls in 2017, returns to the all-weather for the first time since April and takes a marked step down to Class 2 company at Chelmsford (3.40).

Partnered again by PJ McDonald, the three-year-old has a handy draw and should enjoy a confidence-boosting run before a return to Pattern company.

Race

Haydock's Group 3 Pinnacle Stakes (2.25) looks a cracker with nine runners competing for some valuable black type.

The Willie Mullins-trained True Self, winner of her last four starts, has landed three Listed contests and steps up to Group company for the first time.

Pilaster, a Group 2 scorer at Goodwood last August, has yet to reach that level of form this season, but the step down to 1m4f could be a positive for the daughter of Nathaniel.

The Oaks-winning pair of Frankie Dettori and John Gosden team up again with Highgarden, while Klassique, Mrs Sippy and Dance Legend are other notable names in the contest.
