The Hughie Morrison-trained Not So Sleepy finished fourth in the Group 3 Maxios Trophy at Hanover yesterday, making much of the running in a ten-furlong contest that had been rescheduled after Hamburg's meeting last Friday was abandoned because of unsafe ground.

Not So Sleepy, who had finished only 11th to Isaac Newton in the Wolferton Handicap at Royal Ascot, led into the straight, with market rivals Articus and Quasillo breathing down his neck. That pair went on to fight out the finish, with the Waldemar Hickst-trained Articus scoring by half a length under Marc Lerner.
