No racing in Coral, Ladbrokes and Betfred shops as dispute continues
Punters visiting Coral, Ladbrokes or Betfred shops on Monday will again be unable to watch live racing as the dispute between the bookmakers and the Racing Partnership over pictures rumbles on.
Racing on Monday comes from Southwell, Wolverhampton and Lingfield, three of the 15 Arena Racing Company tracks and seven independent racecourses that make up TRP.
The three courses, along with Doncaster, Windsor and Worcester moved from SIS to TRP on January 1, with the remaining racecourses set to follow suit in 2018.
Monday's blackout is the latest to hit punters in shops belonging to the firms in question, the first of which occurred almost two months ago on January 9.
While both sides have previously said commercial discussions aimed at resolving the situation have been ongoing, no progress has been made towards bringing an end to the dispute and further blackouts appear to be inevitable in the coming weeks and months.
The impasse comes amid a backdrop of broader disagreement between bookmakers and the racing industry regarding the cost of media rights, with many firms arguing the price of being able to screen live racing has become excessive
TRP, meanwhile, was set up by Arc to sell pictures directly to bookmakers and cut out the 'leakage' of income to intermediaries such as SIS and TurfTV.
