West Indies bowling legend Michael Holding was on hand to see the Arc favourite in her final warm-up for the Chantilly showpiece on the Limekilns at second lot. Even the ex-cricketer was impressed with how long it took Frankie Dettori to pull up the daughter of Nathaniel even if Sir Michael Stoute's close friend thinks she will be just a lead horse for Ulysses in Paris.

William Buick was back among the Moulton Paddocks ground crew to watch the action on the Limekilns, and the sidelined jockey reported he was hoping to be back in the saddle in a fortnight. The Solario Stakes winner came from last to first in his exercise and will run at either Newmarket or Chantilly next weekend.

Paul Eddery was seen to good effect on the Lowther Stakes runner-up on the Al Bahathri on Friday and Varian is hoping she can negotiate a step up to Group 1 level in the Cheveley Park Stakes next Saturday.

Betty FJeremy Noseda
Frankel fever hit the Rowley Mile racecourse on Thursday morning when Noseda's Cheveley Park Stakes candidate mixed it with the smart three-year-old maiden La Figlia, both offspring of the 14-time unbeaten champion. Betty F, ridden by Frankie Dettori, matched strides out of the Dip with her older companion and looks sure to be in the mix back at the track next Saturday.

Great Work !!! El HayemSir Michael Stoute
Stoute may have lost one Cambridgeshire candidate with the recent injury to Khairaat but he has ample back-up with this strapping colt, who caught the eye when cantering at the Newmarket open day. The four-year-old mixed it with Group 1 winner Queen's Trust on the Limekilns short gallop and was not stopping.
