My Tent Or Yours set for Cheltenham after sparkling in racecourse gallop
My Tent Or Yours delighted Nicky Henderson in an early-morning gallop at Newbury on Sunday and is firmly on course to reappear in the Stanjames.com International Hurdle at Cheltenham on December 16.
The three-time Champion Hurdle runner-up, second to Wicklow Brave in the Punchestown version when last seen in April, was beaten by The New One in last year's International, which was an afterthought after an intended novice chase at Exeter had been frozen off.
Now ten and unlikely to be sent over fences, My Tent Or Yours has had a different preparation this time and Henderson is looking forward to getting him out again.
He said: "My Tent went to Newbury this morning and delighted me. He went very well indeed.
"He went with William Henry, who didn't get a run the other day [at Cheltenham in a novice chase] as he decided to jump the other way, and he'll go to Cheltenham in a fortnight for the International. He gets no penalty there so it's a good race for him."
Henderson has won the International three times, including with subsequent Champion Hurdle winner Binocular in 2008 when the race was transferred to Ascot.
