Scorching King George the centrepiece for a hot week of racing

There's no let up in the warm weather and this week has plenty of hot highlights to enjoy on the track. Here's what to look out for over the next seven days.

Monday
A routine start to the week with five meetings spread between Britain and Ireland. Ayr and Cartmel kick things off, and a Monday summer evening can mean only one thing: racing by the River Thames at Windsor.

Tuesday
The latest addition to owner John Dance's family is recognised at Newcastle with the Welcome To The World Harvey Nicholas Dance Novice Stakes on the all-weather.

As well as Newcastle, there's more Flat action at Chelmsford, Ffos Las, Musselburgh and Nottingham. Ballinrobe's evening card keeps jumps fans happy.

Wednesday
Glorious Goodwood is the next big festival meeting and we'll get to see the latest forfeits for the Goodwood Cup, Lennox Stakes and Vintage Stakes on Wednesday.

On the track there are six Flat cards, with Naas hosting the Yeomanstown Stud Stakes. It's a race that could feature British challengers as Eve Johnson Houghton, William Haggas, Richard Hannon and Henry Candy have runners entered.

Thursday
Goddess stormed into 1,000 Guineas contention when bolting up at Leopardstown this month and she could be back in action at the track in the Group 3 Silver Flash Stakes.

There could be further Classic Clues in the other Group 3 on the card, the Tyros Stakes. Can Aidan O'Brien win the race for the fifth consecutive year?

Sandown's Listed Star Stakes provides Pattern action during the afternoon on a day with seven cards to get stuck into.

Friday
It's a good day for fillies and mares to earn some black type, with Listed races at Ascot and York.

Throw in another busy evening at Newmarket, with Plan B headlining, and there's something for everyone.

Saturday
All eyes will be on Ascot for the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Who will add their name to the role of honour for the prestigious Group 1?

That's just one of several big contests on Ascot's card, while the Group 2 Sky Bet York Stakes is the highlight on the Knavesmire.

Following a hectic Saturday with seven meetings, Sunday is a calmer affair, with Pontefract and Uttoxeter holding the fort.

But there's still good racing to be had, with the Listed Pomfret Stakes the highlight at Pontefract.
