Nominations for Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards close on Tuesday
The deadline for nominations for the 2020 Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards is 5pm on Tuesday, November 12.
There is £128,000 prize-money on offer across six categories – and an additional Employee of the Year award to one of the winners –celebrating the dedication of stable and stud staff in Britain. The awards are presented in a glamorous evening at The Underglobe in London on February 24.
The Rory MacDonald Award celebrates outstanding work in the local region, while the David Nicholson Newcomer Award is for members of staff who have been employed in the industry for less than three years before the ceremony date. The other award categories are leadership, dedication, rider-groom and stud staff.
A £5,000 prize is awarded to the winner and their respective yard, and £2,000 in the newcomer category, while the successful member of staff who wins the Employee of the Year award will claim an additional £15,000 for themselves and the stable or stud they represent.
Anyone who works at a yard or stable can be nominated by visiting studandstablestaffawards.co.uk. The nominees will then be judged by a 12-member panel chaired by Brough Scott.
