Frankel filly Quadrilateral new 1,000 Guineas favourite after stunning success
Quadrilateral shot to the head of the betting for next year's Qipco 1,000 Guineas with an emphatic nine-length win at Newbury for Roger Charlton and Jason Watson.
The Juddmonte-owned daughter of Frankel, sent off 7-4 second-favourite, travelled ominously into the seven-furlong fillies' conditions race at Newbury and stormed past her rivals from off the pace under minimal effort from jockey Watson.
Watson said: "She’s beaten the field well there. We have always liked her and she is a strong two-year-old, but she should strengthen a bit next year.
"She has got a great temperament and the education from her first run has done her some good. She came out of that race well. Who knows what the future holds for her."
Paddy Power cut Quadrilateral into 10-1 (from 33) for the Newmarket fillies' Classic, with Betfair, Betway and Unibet going the same price.
Aidan O'Brien's Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Love had been the previous favourite for the 1,000 Guineas at a general 16-1.
