The finalists for the Racing Post Readers Award at next month's Racecourse Association Showcase & Awards have been revealed.

Readers of the Racing Post again broke the record for entries for the award, with more than 1,800 examples of first-class customer service put forward.

The finalists are Cartmel, Hamilton, Sandown, Uttoxeter and Windsor. A judging panel will select an overall winner to be crowned at the ninth annual RCA Showcase & Awards at Aintree on Thursday, November 8.

The successful course will win a prestigious Showcase Award, while one of the readers who nominated the winning track will be given a VIP raceday.

Paul Swain, RCA brand & experience manager, said: "The Racing Post Readers Award goes from strength to strength and we are thrilled to yet again receive record entries.

"This is one of the most coveted awards we offer given that it rewards customer service and, notably, that the nominations come solely from racegoers.

"Having read through the nominations, the five finalists were notable for both the quantity and quality of entries. The levels of customer service are clearly exceeding expectations and we now look forward to the Showcase & Awards on November 8 to find out who the winner will be."

Louise Agran, chief marketing officer at the Racing Post, added: "Once again our valued, discerning readers have made their voices heard on the subject of customer service. It is wonderful to see so many entries and to read about the fantastic experiences Racing Post customers have enjoyed at racecourses across the country this year.

"We are thrilled to be part of the Showcase Awards, it is a superb initiative which goes from strength to strength. I would like to congratulate all the finalists and wish them good luck for November 8."
