Jean-Claude Rouget confirms Sottsass on target for Irish Champion Stakes

Four years on from Almanzor producing one of the most devastating performances in the history of the Irish Champion Stakes, trainer Jean-Claude Rouget is plotting a return visit to Leopardstown with dual Group 1 winner Sottsass.
Last season's Prix du Jockey Club winner went on to prove himself the best three-year-old in Europe over middle distances when chasing home Waldgeist and Enable in the Arc, and Saturday's Group 1 showdown will be the prelude to a return to Longchamp on October 4.
