James Doyle: ban won't hamper my chance of making weight for Sea Of Class
James Doyle holds no fears that the suspension he is currently serving will make his task of shedding enough weight to partner Sea Of Class in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe on Sunday week more difficult.
The rider is enjoying a stellar season, as demonstrated by his Group 1 success for Godolphin aboard Jungle Cat at Caulfield last weekend, but is sidelined until Saturday due to the conditions of the seven-meeting ban he picked up while riding Folkswood in Australia.
However, he does not anticipate any problem in getting down to 8st 9lb at Longchamp to continue his golden partnership with Sea Of Class, which has yielded four straight victories, including the Group 1 Irish and Yorkshire Oaks.
