Captain Cattistock has great course form and bids for a hat-trick, having won the Edinburgh National and a handicap chase here on his last two starts. The Hollow Ginge was a narrow runner-up in this last year, while Gordon Elliott is represented by Motown Maggie.

Virgin Bet St Simon Stakes (Group 3), 1m4f
Irish St Leger second Hamish was an impressive winner of the Cumberland Lodge Stakes earlier this month and will be the red-hot favourite to add another Group 3 success to his tally. Lone Eagle has been disappointing since his Irish Derby second last year.

Masterson Holdings Hurdle, 2m½f
Knight Salute and Pied Piper renew rivalry after dead-heating in a Grade 1 at Aintree in April, where the latter was demoted to second in the stewards' room. Doctor Parnassus finished midfield in the Triumph Hurdle last season and Bella Scintilla looks interesting on her second start for Joseph O'Brien.

Carlsberg Marstons Doncaster Stakes (Listed), 6f
Dewhurst Stakes fourth Aesop's Fables drops in trip and class and looks likely to get back to winning ways. He is one of two runners for Aidan O'Brien, who also saddles Hispanic. Yarmouth novice winner Bresson could be the best of the British challenge.

Henry Candy doesn't have many first-time-out 2yo winners so the selection deserves considerable credit for that performance and is open to plenty of improvement

888Sport Handicap Chase, 2m
Clear The Runway has been a winning machine throughout the summer and bids for his eighth win of the year. Dads Lad is Willie Mullins' only runner at the meeting, while Welsh Champion Hurdle winner Effernock Fizz aims for another lucrative win in Britain.

Vertem Futurity Trophy (Group 1), 1m
The final Group 1 of Britain's Flat season is a brilliant guide for next year's Classics. Aidan O'Brien bids to become the outright winningmost trainer in the race with Group 2 winner Auguste Rodin and Salt Lake City. Epictetus and Holloway Boy have strong form, while King Of Steel was an impressive winner of his maiden this month.

Has an excellent pedigree and won the Group 2 Champions Juvenile Stakes at Leopardstown last time, can give Aidan O'Brien a record-breaking 11th win
Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle, 3m
Botox Has has strong course form, but faces a tough Irish challenge from the likes of Shoot First and five-timer-seeking Salvador Ziggy. Last year's winner Kansas City Chief is back to try and retain his crown.

Overcame significant adversity before keeping on strongly to take second on his handicap debut at Galway in the summer and remains unexposed

Came From The Dark's form has tailed off since winning a Group 3 at Sandown in July, but he returns to handicap company for the first time since winning at Newbury last year. Recent York winner Kimngrace and Lullaby Bay look sure to go close.
