ITV Racing tips: one key runner from the eight races on ITV on Saturday
1.30 Aintree
Boylesports Many Clouds Chase (Grade 2), 3m1f
Ahoy Senor is 2-2 at Aintree with both wins coming in Grade 1s, but he needs to bounce back from his Charlie Hall Chase flop where Sam Brown finished ahead of Lucinda Russell's Gold Cup hopeful. Chantry House won a Grade 1 novice chase over course and distance, while Grand National winner Noble Yeats is interesting tackling the conventional Mildmay course fences for the first time.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: AHOY SENOR
Grade 1 Mildmay Novices' Chase win in April; tough to catch if rediscovering that form
Close Brothers Henry VIII Novices' Chase (Grade 1), 1m7½f
Arkle favourite Jonbon is pitched into a Grade 1 on just his second start over fences in a race his trainer Nicky Henderson landed with Altior in 2016. Dan Skelton has also won this race before, with Allmankind in 2020, and he saddles Unexpected Party. Boothill bids for another big Saturday success.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: JONBON
Impressive in novice chase at Warwick, taking overall record to 7-8; top rated
Boylesports Becher Handicap Chase (Premier Handicap), 3m2f
Snow Leopardess bids to defend her crown off a 6lb higher mark and renews rivalry with last year's runner-up Hill Sixteen. Grand Sefton second Gesskille and Scottish National fifth Ashtown Lad are popular in the betting along with Captain Kangaroo for Willie Mullins, who is also represented by Recite A Prayer.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: NOW WHERE OR WHEN
Goes up in grade but he could be just the type to excel over these fences; interesting
Betfair Daily Rewards Handicap Hurdle, 2m
Harry Fry's Cheltenham Festival-winning mare Love Envoi contests a handicap for the first time at a track where she won a Grade 2 last season. The hat-trick-seeking Homme Public will provide stiff opposition, while Friend Or Foe represents last year's winning trainer Paul Nicholls.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: HOMME PUBLIC
Won well at Wetherby three weeks ago, taking record at about 2m in Britain to 3-5
Boylesports Daily Money Back 2nd Handicap Chase, 2m4f
Riders Onthe Storm bounced back to form over course and distance in the Old Roan last time, beating subsequent winners Hitman and Ga Law. Gunsight Ridge also bids to follow up a course win, with Nick Alexander's veteran Clan Legend attempting to take the race for the third year in a row.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: WISHING AND HOPING
Front-runner who clearly likes it here and could play a leading role
2.55 Sandown
Betfair Tingle Creek Chase (Grade 1), 1m7½f
Greaneteen warmed up for his defence of this Grade 1 with an impressive weight-carrying performance in the Haldon Gold Cup so has a race-fitness edge over Shishkin, who makes his first start since he was pulled up when odds-on for the Champion Chase. Arkle winner Edwardstone's only defeat in Graded chases came at Aintree in April to Gentleman De Mee, who bids to confirm the form here.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: SHISHKIN
Top class; had an excuse for Champion Chase flop; has the best chance on peak figures
Boylesports Extra Places Daily Handicap Hurdle, 2m4f
Topweight Langer Dan is rated 7lb higher than when landing a Grade 3 handicap over course and distance at the same meeting as when likely favourite Walking On Air was pulled up in a Grade 1 novice contest. The unexposed five-year-old is interesting on his handicap debut against more established performers such as Grade 2 chase winner Sizing Pottsie.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: LANGER DAN
Best form when winning big 2m4f handicap at the National meeting; up 7lb but respected
3.30 Sandown
Winners Wear Cavani Menswear London National Handicap Chase, 3m5f
Revels Hill relished the step up to this sort of trip at Taunton on his final start last season and had a nice prep run over an inadequate trip at Ascot last month. Deise Aba was a head second to Le Milos on his last visit to Sandown and that form behind the subsequent Coral Gold Cup winner now reads exceptionally well.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: ECLAIR DE GUYE
7lb lower than when beaten seven lengths into third in this 12 months ago; capable of going close
