ITV Racing tips: one key runner from each of the ten ITV4 races on Friday
1.35 Chepstow
Professor Caroline Tisdall Supports Heroic Jumpers Veterans' Handicap Chase, 2m5f
2020 Ladbrokes Trophy winner Cloth Cap makes his first appearance since being pulled up in the Grand National in April and is a leading contender. Perth Gold Cup second Broken Quest has solid form and is one to note.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Cloth Cap
Has become a risky proposition, but he returns from a break with his stable having winners and he might outclass these
1.50 Newmarket
Newmarket Academy Godolphin Beacon Project Cornwallis Stakes, Group 2, 5f
Prince Of Pillo has won three of his first four starts and holds claims, while Crispy Cat returns following his third-place finish in the Flying Childers at Doncaster last month.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Prince Of Pillo
Being a progressive colt who has the best chance on ratings, he has to be first choice despite the presence of some interesting opponents
2.10 Chepstow
Unibet Persian War Novices' Hurdle, Grade 2, 2m3½f
The Dan Skelton-trained Quid Pro Quo is 2-2 this year and is well supported in the market. Presentandcounting is chasing a four-timer for Donald McCain, while Deeper Blue eyes a hat-trick.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Presentandcounting
A former smart chaser who is now making hay over hurdles and it was a valuable handicap that he won with ease last time
2.25 Newmarket
Godolphin Lifetime Care Oh So Sharp Stakes, Group 3, 7f
Rage Of Bamby, Lose Yourself, Small Oasis and Youngest all hold Irish 1,000 Guineas entries next year and should be considered for this Group 3. Crystallium has won both of her career starts for Tom Clover and leads the betting.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Crystallium
Has been strong at the finish in both outings and looks one to follow, she's taken to maintain her unbeaten record
2.40 York
William Hill Autumn Mile Handicap, 1m
Joint-trainers Daniel and Claire Kubler are having their best season and have leading claims with Helm Rock, who won at Haydock last time out. Summer Cup winner Empirestateofmind has consistent form and should not be ruled out.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Empirestateofmind
Well drawn in five, he has been in fine form in his last four outings and is taken to come out on top
3.00 Newmarket
Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards Challenge Stakes, Group 2, 7f
Sacred comes into the contest having scooped a Listed race at Newbury last month and is a major contender. The in-form Charlie Hills relies on Pogo, who was narrowly beaten by Kinross in the City Of York in August.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Sacred
Has a very good chance of following up her recent Newbury success and adding to last year's two notable wins which included the Nell Gwyn over C&D
3.15 York
British EBF £100,000 2yo Series Final, 7f
Progressive juvenile Streets Of Gold is seeking a fifth consecutive victory for Eve Johnson Houghton and will be tough to beat. Coco Jack, Shouldvebeenaring and Tyrone's Poppy have all got solid form and should be considered.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Streets Of Gold
Is unbeaten in his four starts including a big-field nursery here and has given the impression that he could do even better at this new trip
3.35 Newmarket
bet365 Fillies' Mile, Group 1, 1m
The unbeaten Commissioning is a clear favourite for John and Thady Gosden after landing the Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket last time out, while Bright Diamond impressed in her nine-length debut win at Newmarket earlier in the summer. Harry Dunlop has supplemented Polly Pott, who chases a fifth successive victory.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Sparkling Beauty
An interesting alternative at bigger odds and may be able to give Richard Hughes a first Group win as a trainer
3.50 York
William Hill Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap, 1m6f
The William Haggas-trained Nathanael Greene heads the betting, having won twice and placed once in his four starts this season. Aimeric and Double Cherry come into this having won last time out and should also run well.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Nathanael Greene
Left a positive impression with his win at Haydock on soft ground in July and could be the one to side with
4.10 Newmarket
bet365 Old Rowley Cup Handicap, 1m4f
Lavazza Stakes winner La Yakel is a serious contender and chases a hat-trick for William Haggas. Stablemate Educator, who is owned by The King, is second in the market ahead of the consistent First Ruler. Simply Sondheim has won six successive races and has a strong chance.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: La Yakel
The valuable 1m4f win at Ascot on his handicap debut showed major improvement and suggested there is more to come from him
