ITV Racing tips: one key runner from each of the nine ITV races on Saturday
1.15 Haydock
Betfair Daily Tips On Betting.Betfair Ascendant Stakes, 1m
Naval Power maintained his unbeaten record with a six-length Listed romp at Ascot in July and bigger targets surely await. Seeking Gold looked promising when scoring at Yarmouth second time up and is a forecast contender.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: NAVAL POWER
Looked really smart when making it 3-3 in 7f Ascot Listed race; can't oppose
1.45 Haydock
Best Odds On The Betfair Exchange Superior Mile Stakes (Group 3), 1m
Triple Time, a course-and-distance winner and talented prospect, returns in a race whittled down to four runners following the defections of Reach For The Moon, Bayside Boy, Dark Shift and Brunch.
2.05 Kempton
Unibet September Stakes (Group 3), 1m4f
Dubai Honour drops in grade after a respectable effort in the Juddmonte International and that performance sets the standard. He receives 3lb from main rival Mostahdaf, a dual winner at this level, who needs to bounce back from a puzzling run at Newmarket last time.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: MOSTAHDAF
Ran poorly last time, but in good form before that; 2-2 on AW; big chance if bouncing back
Get Daily Rewards With Betfair Handicap, 1m6f
Irish Lullaby makes the trip from Ireland after winning at the Galway festival and is paired with Frankie Dettori, making her a fascinating prospect. Thundering ran a huge race from an unpromising position at York last time and is unlikely to be far away up in distance.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: IRISH LULLABY
On a hat-trick; every indication that this further step up in trip will suit her very well
2.40 Kempton
Unibet London Mile Series Final Handicap, 1m
First View, who was a dual course-and-distance winner as a juvenile, continued his good Kempton record when second at the venue in May and wears first-time cheekpieces now. The consistent On A Session should not be underestimated despite being 0-5 on the all-weather.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: BALDOMERO
First and second in two starts here; stable won this in 2019 for the same owners
2.55 Haydock
Betfair Exchange Old Borough Cup Handicap, 1m6f
Euchen Glen had no luck in the Ebor and remains well treated on his best form, while Contact was a winner at this course in May and has since ran well in a couple of big handicaps at Ascot and Newmarket. Evaluation and Rajinsky are others with big claims.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: CONTACT
Met trouble in running at Newmarket but made late gains to show he stays 1m6f; interesting
3.10 Ascot
National Racehorse Week Handicap, 7f
Spritely nine-year-old Documenting returned to winning ways at Newbury last time and is effectively 4lb lower with Alec Voikhansky's claim in mind. Fresh has Ascot form figures of 2123491 and is sure to prove popular alongside Buckingham Palace winner Inver Park.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: INVER PARK
Progressive in 2022, winning big C&D handicap in June; held at 6f since; still of interest
3.30 Haydock
Betfair Sprint Cup Stakes (Group 1), 6f
Emaraaty Ana went close in the Nunthorpe before winning this race 12 months ago and bids to repeat the feat after taking the same route in 2022. Owen Burrows is having a standout season and Minzaal, on the back of a narrow second in the Prix Maurice de Gheest, is another with above-average claims alongside Platinum Jubilee winner Naval Crown.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: ROHAAN
Hot on heels in Group 1 at Deauville in August; can have a big say if cards fall right
3.45 Ascot
Lavazza Stakes, 1m4f
Frantastic was a gutsy winner at Newbury last time and the addition of the cheekpieces might help him overcome a 5lb rise. Double Cherry tanked his way into contention over 1m6f last time and should appreciate a drop back in trip on ground he prefers.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: FRANTASTIC
Didn't do much in front last time but now has cheekpieces and 1m4f is a tempting prospect
