Trainer Ismail Mohammed faces a disciplinary panel hearing at the BHA headquarters in London on Thursday after a horse in his care tested positive for a prohibited substance.

Amazour produced a post-race urine sample containing norketamine and deydronorketamine, metabolites of Ketamine, after winning a 6½f handicap at Doncaster in September 2017.

Ketamine is a common equine anesthetic but is banned from being present in a horse’s system on racedays.

The disciplinary panel will consider whether Newmarket-based Mohammed is in breach of rule (G) 2.1, in that prohibited substances were present in the sample, and whether the horse should be disqualified.
