The leading handicappers from racing's major jurisdictions meet this week to discuss the end-of-year rankings and we may have a newcomer to the party.

Arrogate (134) leads from California Chrome (133) and Winx (130), but the way Maurice went past A Shin Hikari (currently joint-fourth on the list on 129) like he was stood still should mean he is elevated considerably from his rating of 124.

The fact that he idled once in front and the winning margin was 'only' three lengths may deny him top spot, but he was very visibly in a different league to his rivals.
