Doyle warms up for the Arc with two promising rides at Saint-Cloud
James Doyle is in action at Saint-Cloud on Friday with promising rides for Charlie Appleby and Ed Vaughan.
Sea Of Class's rider, who had to give up rides on Thursday after feeling unwell, is expected to be fit to partner Godolphin’s Mythical Magic in the Listed Prix Matchem (1.35) and Dubai Dominion for Vaughan in the Group 3 Prix Thomas Byron (2.05).
Dubai Dominion finished runner-up in the Listed Flying Scotsman Stakes at Doncaster’s St Leger meeting and connections are hopeful he can go one better this time.
“She was green early doors at Hamilton, but her class took her through the race and she won cosily,” Adam Ryan, assistant to his father, said.
“She’s shown us plenty at home and we feel we’re going to France with every chance.”
