Going news from all the courses as Ffos Las passes inspection

Ffos Las has passed an inspection and racing on Saturday will go ahead as planned. The inspection had been called due to the threat of high winds but officials are satisfied the meeting, which is set to feature in the Welsh Champion Hurdle, can take place.

There will be no racing at Fairyhouse, with officials calling off the fixture due to high winds. The meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday.

Ascot stages Qipco British Champions Day and it seems to go from strength to strength. Even though Enable - who has lit up the Flat season - is missing fields look bang up to scratch on an important day for the sport.

Even the prospect of easy ground has not dented what looks a star-studded bill, headlined by the Qipco Champion Stakes.

The other Flat turf meeting in Britain comes from Catterick where the apprentice title race between David Egan and Kieran Shoemark will be decided, while jumps fans get their fix at Market Rasen and Stratford.
