Godolphin have announced a number of staff within their two Newmarket hubs at Godolphin Stables and Moulton Paddocks are to be made redundant in the next few weeks.

In common with other big-owning enterprises such as Cheveley Park Stud and Shadwell, Sheikh Mohammed's operation have been reviewing their bloodstock and racing activities due to the world economic downturn caused by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Although Godolphin often lay off a small number of staff at this time of year when many of their horses switch to Dubai for the carnival, they are expected to have fewer employees in 2021, with the number expected to leave forecast to be in low double figures.
