William Haggas is hoping warm winds dry out the ground sufficiently for Muthmir to bounce back to the sort of form that saw him impress in Doncaster’s Portland Handicap two years ago and enabled him to win two prestigious Group 2 sprints in 2015.
Haggas admits the six-year-old has not been quite the same this year, but he is down in class and the trainer agrees a back-to-form Muthmir would be the one to beat.
