Churchill bolsters Classic credentials with impressive win
Churchill boosted his Classic prospects with an impressive four-and-a-quarter-length win in the Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes, providing Aidan O'Brien with his 11th victory in the Group 1 contest.
Bookmaker reaction to his win was swift, with Ladbrokes cutting the Ballydoyle colt to 5-1 (from 8) for the Qipco 2,000 Guineas, for which BoyleSports go 4-1 from the same price and Paddy Power only 5-2 (from 6).
He is also favourite for the Investec Derby, his price ranging more wildly, from 4-1 to 14-1.
