Almanzor advertises big-race claims with impressive figure

There were plenty of Arc fancies in action in France and Ireland at the weekend and Irish Champion Stakes winner Almanzor came out best on RPRs.

The French-trained three-year-old posted an RPR of 126 after landing an incredibly deep renewal of the Leopardstown feature by three-quarters of a length from top-level yardstick Found (122).

The first and second were held up off the strong early pace and got clear runs down the outside of the field, while Ryan Moore went up the inside on Minding (116), who stayed on for third.
