Townend faces some tricky decisions

It comes with the territory when you are number one at Closutton but Paul Townend faces some devilishly difficult decisions in the novice hurdles at the festival.

Facile Vega is an easy one in the Supreme, but Impaire Et Passe or Gaelic Warrior in the Ballymore? Embassy Gardens or Grangeclare West in the Albert Bartlett? Lossiemouth or Blood Destiny in the Triumph? There could be others to factor into the equation after the Dublin Racing Festival too.

It is, of course, a problem every other jockey in the weighing room would love to have but there will be some very tricky calls for Townend to make nonetheless and he might not get them all right, so the likes of Danny Mullins and Daryl Jacob will be waiting in the wings to see which way he goes.
