Richard Dunwoody is not as mad as you think.

Granted, some would say there's plenty of evidence to the contrary – he was a jump jockey for a start, and since he ceased engaging in that specific brand of lunacy has seemingly got only more extreme.

This is a man who has raced 350 miles to the north pole, trekked 673 miles to the south pole, completed the Gumball Rally, walked Japan from tip to top and covered the same mile in Newmarket every hour for 1,000 hours.
