Who wins the Gold Cup?
Pat Cooney (bet365) I'll side with Santini as he looked good last time, has no stamina issues and has the potential to improve on his previous form. At a bigger price, I think Monalee is too big. After all, he was only just beaten by Delta Work in the Savills Chase last time out.
Andrew Griffiths (Betfred) It looks a fascinating renewal and the key could be conditions on the day. It looks like the ground shouldn’t be too bad by Friday and that favours strong travellers like Delta Work or Lostintranslation. Last year's novices look strong and we fancy at least one of them to progress beyond Al Boum Photo.
Chad Yeomans (Betway) The more I look at the race, the more I think Al Boum Photo can back up last year's victory. He jumped well, travelled well and stayed on through the line and the way he's been campaigned can only be in his favour. Santini is also interesting as he seems to stay forever but he could get swept off his feet early if they go the usual frantic gallop.
