Yuften provides a 'satisfactory' outcome for Charlton

Roger Charlton brought two horses to Champions Day and fully believed in both. Quest For More went agonisingly close in the opening Long Distance Cup, but Yuften cured the heartache in the last.

The Andrea Atzeni-ridden five-year-old, who in his former life once crossed the line with just one horse in front of him in a Group 1 when trained by William Haggas, had to survive a stewards' inquiry as he hung badly in the closing stages – causing any amount of carnage in behind.

"It's really satisfactory," said Charlton. "There are races during the year one is lucky to win, but I have to say that is satisfactory. It's a valuable prize in front of a big crowd and we've had this horse only for a couple of months.
