Subway Dancer set to make history for the Koplik boys in Champion Stakes
The letters IRE may appear on the British Champions Day racecard after the name Subway Dancer but the consistent six-year-old will make a significant piece of turf history for the Czech Republic on Saturday.
A consistent performer at Group 2 and 3 level on his frequent visits to France over the last couple of seasons, Subway Dancer will become his country's first runner at Ascot when he lines up against Cracksman and company in the feature Qipco Champion Stakes.
Trained by Zedno Koplik and set to be ridden on Saturday by brother Radek, Subway Dancer has peaked at this time of the year in the last two seasons, with victory in the Group 3 Prix Andre Baboin at Lyon Parilly in 2016 and then runner-up to Garlingari in the Group 2 Prix Dollar at Chantilly 12 months ago.
