Andrew Scutts on the case for re-examining whether the jockeys' title should start at its former home

The admission by Great British Racing chief executive Rod Street that the Champions Series - as distinct from Champions Day - has "not caught the imagination" could perhaps open the door for a rethink on the parameters of the jockeys' title.

The truncated season, inaugurated last year, runs from Guineas weekend to Champions Day, with the 35-race British Champions Series also starting at Newmarket and ending at Ascot.
