Gosden's impressive Kempton winner Argentello unlikely to run in the Balmoral
John Gosden's strong team for Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday may not include Argentello, who won at Kempton on Tuesday night and is as short as 7-1 for the Balmoral Handicap on the card.
No final decision has been made, but connections hinted on Wednesday morning the three-year-old's participation was unlikely.

Ridden by Robert Havlin, Argentello tracked the leader in Kempton's mile handicap before quickening clear for a commanding victory.
However, Bruce Raymond, racing manager to owner Sheikh Juma Dalmook Al Maktoum, said: "I haven't spoken to John Gosden, who is at the sales as well, but I wouldn't have thought he'd run. I don't think so."
The Intello colt, a general 12-1 shot for the weekend, is now guaranteed a run in the Balmoral by way of the 6lb penalty he incurred for Tuesday's success, but Raymond dismissed that being part of a grand plan.

He added: "We didn't have any plans too far ahead and it all sounds a bit romantic that!"
Gosden could still be represented by Tricorn in the Balmoral, while the champion trainer-elect is also set to field big guns Stradivarius, Lah Ti Dar, Without Parole, Roaring Lion and Cracksman at Ascot on a major day for British racing.
