Cracksman posted a performance worthy of the race title to blitz his rivals in yesterday's Qipco Champion Stakes, returning a top class Racing Post Rating of 131 to take him to the top of the rankings for 2017.

An impressive winner of his last two starts in Group 2 races, the drop back to ten furlongs for the return to Group 1 company proved no problem and this confirms him not only as the best colt in Europe but best overall, with this performance toppling Enable from her long held position as the leading horse in Europe.

The only horse to break 130 in Europe this year, this was a top notch effort that will likely see Cracksman as champion come the end of the year, and with the placed horses rated a little below their bests his performance could arguably rate higher still.
