Four favourites in Group 1 races on Champions Day tells its own story about John Gosden’s dominance but he might not have it all his own way on Saturday.

Lah Ti Dar looks like a good thing in the fillies and mares race but Cracksman has to bounce back in first-time blinkers after a long break, Roaring Lion encounters the softest ground of his career over a trip he has been beaten over the last three times he tackled it and Stradivarius is at the end of a tough season facing a young stayer on the upgrade on ground which is slower than his ideal.
