Aidan O'Brien likely to give Capri the go-ahead for Champion Stakes bid
Capri is set to add another layer of class to an already red-hot Qipco Champion Stakes after Aidan O'Brien revealed last year's Irish Derby and St Leger winner is in line to drop back in trip and line up at Ascot just 13 days on from his fifth-placed finish in the Arc.
A top-priced 16-1 for Saturday's Ascot test, Capri, who won over ten furlongs at Naas in April, was beaten little more than three lengths by Enable and has pleased O'Brien since Longchamp.
Cracksman and Roaring Lion head the market for the Champion Stakes and O'Brien said: “We were delighted with Capri’s run in the Arc.
