The words lost and Found have often gone together, and so it was again at Ascot, but no horse can have finished second so often yet not once, quite rightly, have had her resolution questioned in the slightest.

The phrase 'glorious in defeat' could have been created for remarkable filly Found, as she underlined in what may have been her farewell performance.

It was only 13 days ago Found interrupted a run of seconditis by winning the Arc. She had also won last year's Breeders' Cup Turf, but in beating everything except Almanzor here she was claiming her tenth Group 1 level silver medal, two of which have now come in the Champion Stakes.
