Driving through the gate at Hagg Hill Farm, ten miles south east of Bath but just beyond the Somerset border in Wiltshire, you would make it long odds-on that the imposing stone house at the end of the driveway belongs to a racehorse trainer.

With 70 acres of land, lush green paddocks, airy barns and its own gallop, there would certainly be worse places to train a thoroughbred.

There are 65 equine residents too, but despite the misleading messages which surround him, Noel Fehily is adamant training racehorses is not for him.
