Despite nearly three months of the season lost due to lockdown, Clive Cox has enjoyed a terrific start to the season. The Beechdown team took Royal Ascot by storm as Golden Horde starred in the Commonwealth Cup, while his juvenile Nando Parrado raised more than a few eyebrows when landing the Coventry Stakes at odds of 150-1 in the style of a serious colt.
Cox said: “It has been a blinding start which has been a huge relief. We knew we had a nice team going to Royal Ascot but as a former jump jockey you learn never to take anything for granted.
