Biometric is currently best known as the horse who thwarted Frankie Dettori's bid for a five-timer on Gold Cup day at Royal Ascot last month.

When the three-time champion jockey sent Turgenev clear at the two-furlong pole in the Britannia Handicap, Biometric looked to have an impossible task, but he produced a smart turn of foot and plenty of resolution to wear down the favourite and score by a length and a quarter.
