Paul Nicholls: 'Life has changed - but becoming a dad again keeps you young'

For a man who freely admits to being obsessed with training winners, the current cold snap is proving a significant inconvenience to Paul Nicholls.

Nicholls has, of course, seen it all in his 31 years with a training licence, but that cannot stop him ruing the potential winners that went astray when Cheltenham was frozen off last weekend.

"Last Saturday could have been a good day," he says, taking a seat on his sofa between two sleepy labradors at his imposing home on the outskirts of Ditcheat.
