Which messages of congratulations stood out or surprised you after your Welsh National success?
Perhaps not a message but a few of the older lads in the weighing room and a few of the trainers when I went racing the next day came up to me and said well done, things like that. It's quite a nice feeling being recognised.

When did you realise you wanted to become a jockey and why?
Ever since I was a kid, probably from the age of six. My father trained point-to-pointers and I just loved watching racing on the TV.

How did you end up with Christian Williams?
Simply because he trains about two minutes away from my house. Last year I couldn't drive so it seemed like an obvious place to start.
