Julie Harrington is not the only racing administrator confronted with an overflowing in-tray as she starts 2021 in her new role as the BHA's chief executive.
Step forward Jon Holmes, the man who has guided England striker and Match of the Day frontman Gary Lineker's career on and off the pitch and recently joined the Professional Jockeys Association as acting chairman for 12 months.
While Harrington takes up arguably the hottest seat in racing having led British Cycling since 2017, Holmes's name is better associated with football, rugby and cricket in his former guise as a players' agent, but he is by no means a freshman to racing.
